While we allow same walk-in registration, we recommend registering early to ease congestion on race day. Event day registration has a $10 additional fee.

Categories
Age Categories: Based on the age of each rider as of August 26, 2023.
MTB Age Restrictions: MTB riders must be at least 5 years old to participate.
Gravel Age Restrictions: Gravel riders 5 to 14 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Cruiz'n Kids Race: The super fun FREE Cruiz'n Kids Race is for kids 10 years and under.
E-Bikes are Welcome at Cruise the Blues!
We know folks love their e-bikes and invite you to enjoy them at Cruise the Blues! We have created a designated E-Bike Glory MTB - Super Solo Open category for anybody of any age who wants to compete for a podium position on their e-bike. All other categories allow e-bikes for your enjoyment, but will not be included in the standings or awards. If you are riding an e-bike at Cruise the Blues this year, please indicate this on the E-Bike portion of the online registration.
Student-Athletes
Participants 18 years old and under are considered student-athletes.
Online Registration Fee: is discounted to $30 for all categories.
Event Day Registration Fee: is discounted to $40 for all categories.
Teams
All team members must be registered together either in the Joy, Glory or Gravel Division.
A team must consist of two members.
The teams are categorized by the combined age of the two team members.
Three-Hour Marathon Race Structure
This type of race structure is designed to challenge the most competitive racers while allowing flexibility for those riders participating for fun. All riders start at 11am and are encouraged to ride as many (or as few!) laps as they like. Last laps must be started before 2pm. Ride when it feels good for you and take a break when you need one; there is no obligation to ride your bike for a full three hours. Please see the Rules page for more information.

JOY MTB RACE DIVISIONThe Joy Division is for those who are riding for fun and good sport. The course consists of 5-miles of flowy trail winding through shaded timber, pasture, and cropland on the Palen Family Farm. It is enjoyable for riders of all skill levels. One 5-mile lap takes between 30 and 45 minutes to complete, depending on ability. |

GRAVEL RACE DIVISIONThe GRAVEL Division is for gravel riders looking for some of the best-mixed gravel and trail riding in North Central Kansas! This year’s course showcases, for the first time ever, 5-miles of incredible new trails featuring a scenic climb to the top of Lone Hill and an amazing 2.5-mile super flowy ridge line loop with sweeping views stretching more than 25 miles in every direction from one of the highest peaks in the North Central Kansas Region! The 18-mile gravel course is designed as a loop returning to the farm each lap. The course includes 10 miles of beautiful gravel and dirt roads through the pastoral countryside, punctuated with 5 miles of open single track on Lone Hill and 3 miles of flowy singletrack under the trees following the creeks and drainages on the Palen Family Farm. SUPERMILE MTB RACE DIVISIONThe supermile time trial event is open to all registered riders (GLORY, JOY or GRAVEL) looking to lay down the fastest 1-mile hot lap and claim bragging rights for the weekend. The 1-mile course is a fast and flowy singletrack loop featuring some of the best singletrack on the farm. Fun, easy, and enjoyable for all ages, skills, and abilities. The Supermile course is open Friday evening between 6:00-8:00 pm for riders to lay down their fastest lap. The time trial format allows you to start your lap at any time before 8 pm. Riders should check in at the start and be ready to race against the clock. $100 cash prize for the fastest overall man and woman on the day. |
